The Dallas arboretum is 66 acres of flower and display gardens, including acres of azalea. The arboretum is located near White Rock Lake and the Lakewood community.  With various events going on throughout the year, the Arboretum should be on your To-Do list this year. At the arboretum is a sure place to stop by all year long.  My recent visit on a Sunday afternoon to the arboretum and the pictures speak for itself.

The Pumpkin Village is going on now till the end of November. Here you can take tons of pictures with different setups of pumpkins and pumpkin houses.

Throughout the garden you will find flowers like this one that are breathtaking.

Also listen to live music or buy unique crafts at the Arboretum throughout week as well as other events. You can find a list here for different events going on.

The large garden show above is perfect for picnics or just letting the kids run around. As I was there, the arboretum was preparing for the 12 days of Christmas. There are twelve elaborate collections of 25-foot Victorian style gazebos filled with Christmas Cheer.  Southern Living Magazine named the event one of "The South's Best Holiday Experiences". For more information about upcoming holiday event check out the link here.
