How to Revitalize your Apartment this Winter

Can you believe Winter is already here? Before we know it 2021 will be here! But for now, the holidays are in the air. Keeping up with your apartment home during this season is a good way to stay present in the moment. Here are a few room-by-room tips to bring the holidays into your home.

Refresh Your Bedrooms and Closets

  • Put away all summer clothes and bring those transitional and winter pieces to the front of your closet. 

  • Launder comforter, bed sheets, pillowcases, and curtains. 

  • Sprinkle baking soda and vacuum your mattress.

  • Add a warm-scented candle or warm essential oil in a diffuser. 

Freshen Up the Living Room

  • Dust and wipe down your ceiling fans, lamps, shelves, and windows with a damp cloth.

  • Vacuum your air vent and change out your A/C filter.

  • Vacuum your couch, loveseat, or upholstered chairs with a vacuum attachment.

  • Put up that beautiful Christmas Tree, it’s never too early!

  • Check your pantry and refrigerator for expired foods. 

  • Clean your stove and oven and take care of your garbage disposal.

  • Declutter and clean out drawers and cabinets.

  • Pull out your cold-weather kitchen tools (hello chili in the crockpot!)

  • Decorate with scented cinnamon broomsticks in a vase or scented pine cones in a bowl.

Winter Fresh Bathroom

  • Launder the shower curtain and linen. 

  • Deep clean the shower head.

  • Replace toothbrush.

  • Scrub the shower, toilet, and sink.

  • Decorate with winter-scented soap and festive hand towels. 

These are a few tips to get you started on your Winter checklist. You can always switch things around to make it work for you. The important thing is to set your own routine to flow with the seasons. Adding small changes, like seasonal scents helps lock in those memorable moments. These tips will prep your home for the holidays with family and friends.
