Giving back to our communities is something that Camden truly believes in. We provide luxury living for many Corpus Christi residents and in over 150+ communities nationwide. While serving others with living excellence is our main focus, we know there is a need for help everywhere and are committed to taking time out of our days to band together as a Camden Family and help those in need with our Camden Cares program.

Volunteering can be fun, but most importantly it is about giving back. If you recently moved to Camden Copper Ridge , Camden Breakers or simply want to start volunteering and are not sure where to start I have created a list of the perfect places to begin your journey.

Camden Cares South Bay Volunteers at the Coastal Bend Food Bank

  • Coastal Bend Food Bank- They can use your time and energy to helping sort through donated goods, packing food boxes, and helping keep the operation running smoothly. The Coastal Bend Food Bank is always in need of volunteers; check out their website to see how you can help!

Volunteers at Gulf Coast Humane Society

  • Gulf Coast Humane Society- If you love pets, at Camden we love your pets too, then head on over to the local humane society! There is a small fee to volunteer but it helps with supplies needed and to cover costs of the program. Groups with over 10 people are not allowed for the safety of the animals and the volunteers themselves, so let your friends know before everyone shows up at once.

  • Junior Achievement – Like to teach? Junior Achievement offers a wide variety of flexible programs to teach school age kids about financial literacy depending on the grade level you choose to volunteer with. I had previously taught several 1 hour classes at local schools in grades ranging from kindergarten to high school seniors. This is one of my favorite volunteer programs!

CASA

  • CASA- Children are our future and the unfortunate reality is that many do not have a voice. Becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate for a child who has entered the child welfare system can make an enormous difference in their lives.

Boys and Girls Club of the Coastal Bend

  • Boys and Girls Club Of The Coastal Bend- Great futures start here and your talents and skills can make a difference! They need help with tutoring, homework help, coaches for their athletic leagues, and administrative support. The work that is done at our local club has kept countless kids off the streets and in a clean, safe, and supportive environment.

Adopt-A-Beach Volunteers

  • Texas General Land Office- Adopt-A-Beach Program- When you live at Camden South Bay, you are minutes from the beach. Why not use that short drive to help keep them clean by volunteering twice a year with the Adopt-A-Beach Program? Our beaches are home to sea turtles and some of the most diverse species of birds in the country, but like many places where large crowds gather there can be an influx of trash and waste during peak seasons. Help keep our water and picturesque views free of debris by signing up with this wonderful program!

Volunteering your time and energy makes a difference in your community and the surrounding areas. Living at a Camden community is more than a luxurious lifestyle; it is a way of life.  While we continue our Camden Cares journey, we invite you to begin your own in giving back to the community around you.
